July 17th: I went to see Final Fantasy- The Spirits Within today. I had to get up earlier than my usual 3:30PM because my friends wanted to go for the 7:30PM show. Since it was the first cheap Tuesday of the month, we had to leave an hour early to avoid the crowds. When we got into the theater, it was empty, but soon enough it was very full. Luckily we all got seats together (all four of us). I guess getting up early paid off (^_^). The movie was so well animated I forgot I was watching CG many times during the story. Everybody seemed really happy after the show, there were people explaining the “Cid is in every game” idea. I was surprised at how many adults went.
July 18th: Today my SO and I biked a trail close to my house to find out what was at the end- It was a gym. They were playing Booty-licous by Destiny’s Child so loud it was stuck in my head for the rest of the day! (>_<)
July 19th: You’ll never guess which game I decided to start playing again: Final Fantasy IV Easy-Type. I remember a lot of it, but I haven’t played it in more than five years so some of the details are still new. I was so interested that I went to a BBS for Final Fantasy IV and found out Cecil and Golbez are brothers! (^_^;;) I hadn’t figured it out!
July 20th: My best friend is leaving for camp tomorrow, very early. I won’t get to see her until two Fridays from now, then she’s moving away forever. (.-_-.) I spent all evening with her. We biked to the tennis courts and played until we were all very tired. Then she and I went home and watched South Park until dinner. I really hope she gets the internet set up quickly at her new house.
July 21st: I just found out my mother is leaving for camp in two days! I’m going to be so alone! (!_!) The good thing is, she started baking cookies for our relatives, so I got a lot of treats. (^_^) Happily she’s taking the food with her though. I would grow fat if she left it all here for me to eat! My mom has low esteem about her chef abilities, but I think her cooking is really good.
July 22nd: Today was rainy and depressing... I’m supposed to be starting my distance education course, but it’s like a timebomb on my desk. It’s so new and scary- I don’t know where to begin. I think I’ll just leave it until school starts and I’m in that mind-set again. I couldn’t work on the computer because of power-outages, so I played Final Fantasy (and got to the moon). Luckily the power never went out when I was playing. (^_^) FuSoYa reminds me of a purple pudding... (o.o)
July 23rd: It's so hot, even after night the heat was almost 35°C! I guess that's why the moths are back. There are so many of them, I feel sorry for the ones that get squished. (-_-`)
July 24th: Since I’m the only one left, I had to clean the house all by myself today! I’m already complaining and it’s only the second day. Something tells me it’s downhill from here (^_^;;). I’m also half dead because I can’t cook, so I always have to harass other people for food or eat take-out (-_-). I should really find myself some home skill.
July 25th: I went shopping today, the cupboards are bare. I always forget to do the shopping until it comes time to actually make something, and I find out ingredients are missing. It used to be more of a pain, but now we have a corner store that I can just walk to buy stuff. It’s ungodly expensive, though. (>_<) Maybe I’ll start keeping a list.
July 27th: There is absolutely nothing to write about, it’s like everybody went on summer vacation except me. I guess the only pending doom is me having to bake something. It’s going to be Saturday, when my mom bakes a cake, but I have no idea what I’m doing! (?_?) What’s the difference between baking powder and baking soda? I should watch Iron Chef more.
July 28th: My baking turned out! It was a huge mess, and I had to fix the doe several times because it ended up too dry or too wet, but everybody liked the taste. (^_^) Fshew. I also finished Final Fantasy IV. The end was so cheesy! (-_-) I hadn’t remembered it that way... And the last battle made me sick, especially the attack that made everything swirl the other way! I also threw out my right wrist again today... Luckily that just means I can’t draw since I’m left handed for everything else. (>_<) But it’s my only pass-time! Aeg!
June 29th: I went grocery shopping today. I had forgotten how irritating the experience was... (>_<) If I hear one more kid start crying for something... I’m going to buy it for him just to get quiet! After that, my SO and I went to see about buying Final Fantasy Chronicles. We thought it had FF 4-6 on it... But it only had 6 and Chrono Trigger. Needless to say, we didn’t buy it.
June 30th: I went biking again today, and on the way met up with this poor girl who mistook my SO’s bike for hers that had been stolen. She told us the story, so now we have to keep an eye out for a bike dumped in the woods. (^_^;;) I’ve never had any of my bikes stolen, I think I’m lucky... Or people don’t want them because my sports are so rough on bikes. (>_<)
July 31st: Everybody went so crazy over a virus that would effect only large business... At least, that’s the way it was over here. The Chinese Worm virus was released and all information was so exaggerated home computer owners, even those with systems below Win 2000, were all worried about their system! I was so annoyed information wasn’t more clearly dispersed, especially since Microsoft knew about the worm and had anti-virus ware for it three months in advance. (¬_¬`)
August 1st: Today was sweltering! I went to meet some friends who didn’t show up, probably because of the heat. I had to walk all the way to this recreation path near my house and back again. I nearly suffered heat stroke, and I’m sure I’ll get blisters on my feet. Luckily my SO has a pool, so I just went swimming there. (^_^)
August 3rd: Today my best friend came back for the last time. I gave her a going away gift and took her out to dinner. We talked about how camp had gone for her, it was really nice. (.-_-.) But I’m sad even though, because this is the last time in a long while we can talk in person.
August 4th: Today started out really badly. My dad had somebody over early in the morning, so I woke up to people talking and was too modest to come out of my room in my night clothes. (>_<) It picked up after that, though. My SO and I had fun playing Final Fantasy VI, we did the opera scene, which was funny because I kept sliding down the stairs (in the game) near the seats... Plus we had just bought Shadow and he ran off. (!_!)
August 7th: I went shopping today for a pair of new boots. My old ones were hurting my feet really badly. (>_<) I got this really cool pair that have huge platforms. They're black faux leather. (^_^) The good thing is they make me a good four inches taller than my regular height (5'4").
August 8th: I watched Kizuna with a group of friends today. It was really hot and we had to walk partway there. (-_-) They all went swimming, but my SO and I didn’t have bathing suits, so we just dipped our feet. The lake was really warm. If it hadn’t rained later in the day, I would have gone snorkeling. (^_^)
August 9th: (^_^/) I got a new rat! He’s soooo cute. I named him Beachtree. He was saved from being killed because the boy who owned him previously didn’t want him anymore. I’m so happy, he’s such a cutie. When I get pictures, I’ll post them here. I spent the day with him while surfing the ‘net for Cain x Cecil. It’s nonexistent! I only found a few Japanese pages, and one English site! (-_-;)
August 11th: My dad brought people in early today! (.-_-.) ::Half in tears:: Why?? It’s the guy I hate too!! I’m stuck in my room, while they wake me up laughing!! When my dad doesn’t like one of my friends I have to stop seeing them, but now- NOW I have to be NICE to his friend! I HATE THIS! I’ve had the worst two days! Last night my dad gives me this CD with a file over 10Mb and says “send it”, of course we don’t have a cable modem so it takes forever, and our e-mail had a 10Mb limit, so it didn’t send. I tried to upload it to a server so the guy he was sending it to could just download it, but then Tripod went all crazy and wouldn’t work! It was 5AM and I had to get this done! THEN Windows MILLENNIUM stopped Fucking working! I went to bed at 6AM! Then got woken up at 7AM, 8AM, and now it’s 3PM, and Sailor Moon is almost on and there are MEN in my front hall preventing me from going anywhere but here!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! (>_<)FUCKING DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 13th: After vacuuming the whole house (>_<) I went swimming with my SO. The water was really warm once it was used to, but it was very windy. The good thing about the temperature was nobody else occupied the beach... Except one kayaker who showed up just as we left. After returning we bundled up in comforters and played Final Fantasy VI. (^_~) [Ooh, and happy anniversary Cherie and Henry! (^_^)]
August 14th: I watched Fushigi Yuugi with friends today! So far it’s such a funny series. We’re up to the episode where Tamahome has gone to the other side to stop the war. It’s so exciting, but I feel so bad for Yui! (-_-) I think my favorite character is Chichiri, he’s so funny! (`^_^´)
August 16thFor the past two days my friends and I have been watching Fushigi Yuugi every evening. Oh, today it was so sad... On of the coolest characters died! It’s so unfair! And now the plot is totally starting to make no sense... I mean, I won’t go into detail or else I’d have to write spoilers everywhere... But some stuff is just like “Well, duh! Go ahead and do it!” Oh well.
In happy news I got e-mail from my friend that moved away! (^_^) Communication once again! She’s even going to the Toronto Anime Convention. (-_-) It’d be nice if I could go, but I have no ride. (>_<) I’ll have to console myself by ordering tons of dojinshi from the ‘net. Aha-ha-ha! I’m so broke. Too bad I can’t go out and fight rabbits to earn gold!
V: Super JUMP! Rabbit has no chance!! Huuuwaa! ::Victory pose:: ::Pose:: ::Pose:: (^_~)V No DICE, bunny-chan!
August 17th: My SO’s parents were out of town, so I had to take care of their rat. The poor thing has sores on his belly. (-_-) But after the treatment he seemed fine! My SO and I went out for dinner and I stayed over after we finished. Until 5:00AM we baked turnovers and watched the end of Fushigi Yuugi. I was told it dragged at the end, but I thought it was very cool- if not a little mushy. When my SO and I finally went to bed, it was hard to fall asleep in an unfamiliar room, especially when it’s so close to the woods. I wasn’t used to the noise of coyotes and was kind of scared. (o.o;) It wasn’t so bad after my SO told me this really funny story about a Moogle stuck in a black void of turnips. It helped me sleep after I tired out of laughter! (^_^)
August 18th: I had to go to my relative’s 50th anniversary today. The trip was almost two hours long, over bumpy roads, so my motion sickness was really bad. (>_<) On the way there the sun was setting, so the scenery of fields and barns was really nice, but I couldn’t really appreciate it in my condition. The reunion itself was pretty boring. There were so many people that it was really hot. I spent most of the time drawing and explaining my plans for art school over and over again. The ride back was scary! There was fog coming off all the fields and swamps onto the road. I expected to see ghosts any time! (!_!) Finally we got back at 12:00AM and watched a movie.
August 19th: Our aquarium exploded today! It was so scary! I was working on the computer, and suddenly I hear this crash and my mom says “Quick, bring towels”. I thought the knife holder had broke and she had horribly cut herself. I was like “Should I call an ambulance??” Oh well… We’re going to buy a new aquarium tomorrow.
August 20th: We went to see Rush Hour II today. It was very busy, so we had to buy tickets from the banking system. It took so many tries to get it right, but we finally got to see the movie. It was extremely funny! (^_^) I recommend it very much! And it has a happy ending! (^_^) yay!
August 22nd: I’ve had my new aquarium for one day, and today my fish died. (.-_-.) That’s so unfair! To make it worse, I have to write this entry from another computer because a really big lightening storm this morning fried my modem. (>_<) I’ll have to install a new one as soon as I buy it.
August 23rd: I got new fish today. Two of them, from the pet store. I picked out a gold fish, and a Japanese small koi. They're very lively. At the pet store I saw tiny hamsters! (^_^/) There were also two little ratties and this bird that was very very still so it reminded me of the Monty Python "Dead Parrot" gag. I also bought myself a modem from Retone… I'm going to install it tomorrow. I'm a little bit tentative about fixing my own computers for some reason. I guess it's like operating on a family member!
August 24th: Guess where I'm uploading this from? My own computer! ::Sighs:: I feel so relieved. I installed everything, and all went well. (^_^)
August 25th: Today I named my fish. The gold one is "Tasuki" and the silver one is "Chiri". (^_~)
August 29th: Today I got my dojinshi shipment! I will scan and post them as soon as I can. I also went to school to get my schedule. Everything conflicts with art (.-_-.) ::Cries:: if my art teacher isn’t really nice and let me take the course during her spare, I’m not going to be able to graduate this year! Even worse, next year, if I can’t take art now, my only course will be art! Just that! All year! Ahhh!
August 30th: Today was a lot of fun! We went to a going-away party for my friend Adrienne, who’s leaving for university soon. After eating and exchanging presents, the party moved to a Café downtown, with much of my own prompting. I was hoping to find some of my friends there to make one big party, but the place was empty! Oh well, everybody else seemed happy with the lack of other people. We ended up telling scary stories until 12:00PM, when everybody had to leave. After my S.O. and I went back home.
September 2nd: Today was the first day of school. It was dreadfully boring. We spent such an inordinate amount of time in home room for no reason! (¬_¬;;) Well, I stalked my art teacher for most of the day and finally got it... Unfortunately, it’s in the morning, so I have to get up early anyway! I asked about signing in too (on days with my spare first), but that doesn’t start until a month from now!
September 3rd: Ugh. The work load is huge! I can’t believe it, with only two courses and one distance ed. course... I have so much work! I need to have 50 sketches for art, 5 major projects, a seminar, a 3 page biography, and a proposal! Plus I have history work and 2 hours every night of novel study! It took me one week for one lesson in that course... There are five lessons per unit, and FOUR units! AND (as if that wasn’t enough) there’s an independent study! I have NO time!
September 4th: Thank goodness! I can do my art seminar on the history of anime and Japanese art. I don’t know anything about it... But at least I have the interest!
September 7th: Today... was a waste of time! I went to school in the morning even though I had a spare first, because the sign-in sheet doesn’t exist. I sat in the caf for 75 minutes drawing and reading stuff about Japan... Then it was time for art, but- I had a spare!!! I walked home, had lunch, drew some more... Then returned to school for history... But... I HAD A SPARE! God damnit! I could have spent the day sleeping! Fuck!
September 11th: I’ve been working really hard lately, hardly even stopping for breaks. Yesterday was the worst, so I slept in. I’m kind of glad I did... When I woke up I found out the WTC had been bombed as well as the Pentagon... There are people comparing it to Pearl Harbor. I guess I’m kind of anxious about the whole thing... It seems pretty serious. Unfortunately it’s this huge “Faux Pas” to talk about it on the BBS I got to... So yea... I’m worried about my American friends. (.-_-.)
September 19th: A bunch of stuff has happened, but I haven’t really been able to write because my courses keep me so busy. Last Saturday I went shopping for my Tifa costume: that’s who I’m being for Halloween. (^_~) Oh, bad news though, two days ago, I got locked out of my e-mail account. The password was changed. I wonder if it was somebody... or just a coincidence? (-_-) Oh well. My friend who moved away got ICQ! Yay! Now we can talk every day. I also took a history test today. My hand hurts sooo much... Urgh.
September 23rd: I was walking home today when I saw my old teacher from primary school. It was so odd to see him, and barely could recognize who it was. He asked me if I was still in school... Hm, I wonder why it is that when you tell somebody you’ve got a job, they automatically assume you’ve dropped out? Weird.
September 25th: I’ve had a strain of bad luck for the past couple of days. First, right after my thumb got better, I nearly dislocated my shoulder... When that healed, I got a cold... and Finally, after that was over, I broke my toe! I woke up this morning at 4AM, with a toe at least 10x bigger than it should have been! Aeg!
September 26th: I passed my history test! Woo! I got 95% without the bonus. I’m still second in the class though. Oh well.
September 30th: I filled out a college application today. I hope I get accepted ::Fingers crossed::! Oh, I also got to pick a project to do for history, I’m doing Canadian ghosts. Fun, huh? (^_^) I hope it gets accepted! Since I picked something not on the list, I’ll have to write a proposal for the teacher.
October 1st: Ah, I wore my corset to school today and didn’t get kicked out. I’m very happy about this! A lot of people complimented it. (^_^) Maybe I’ll start a fashion trend. I also went to the mall today to look for a wig... I was hoping to get a blonde one and a strangely colored one. Ever since I dyed my hair gray it’s been under a lot of stress, so I can’t change it- Even though I have the urge to every year around this time. I’ve had it every color too... Except red. Let’s see... Brown, black, gray, blonde, green, orange, purple... Wait, I haven’t had it blue either... Anyway, you get the idea. Right now it’s black still. Hrm. (-_-) Also at the mall, I saw Harry Potter dolls! Oh my goodness... The craze is going insane. They’re such badly made toys too. The only thing I saw tat was worse were Power Ranger toys selling for over twenty dollars... and they weren’t even worth 15 cents in plastic.
October 2nd: Well, another history test is on the way. ::Cries:: So much work... So little time. Tomorrow it’s on. Today was so hot... Oh my goodness, and outside smells like rotting vegetation. I don’t think I want to walk outside. I’ll just stay here... Where it smells like... Hmmm... House-ness. (^_~)
October 3rd: Today was fairly uneventful. It was raining really hard this morning, but by the time I had to walk back to history class, it had cleared up. Everything is orange and ... well, autumn-looking. (^_^) The test went fairly well. I hope I did OK... I studied really hard, up until the last minute actually. Sometimes I think it’s a waste of time trying to educate myself. (-_-) Maybe I’m just dim. Hrm. Oh, more bad news, my SO’s rat died last night. "Captain Morgan has sailed his last voyage". We’ll miss you lil’ buddy! (.-_-.)
October 4th: Today was a half-day, so it wasn’t really eventful... I filled a sketchbook, so I get to start on a brand new one tomorrow. Oh! There’s also this weird advertising about oranges going on in the school (o_Ô)... When I returned to school for history, the fire drill rang. It was hilarious though, we made jokes about asbestos clouds attacking children and leveling the block; "I smell dead people". (^_^¿)
October 6: Today we had a welcome back party for one of my friends that went to a college out of province. We had a lot of fun, and got to visit the dorms here. The people there are hilarious- and ... scantily clad. (^_~) I saw The Mummy II last night, it was really good. I thought it had a lot of funny stuff, but the little child annoyed me quite a bit. The main woman’s name was “Eevee!”. I couldn’t stop thinking about Pokémon. (^_^¿)
October 7th: Today is... “guest day”. All my dad’s old students appear out of nowhere and say hello. It’s kind of disconcerting to wake up to people talking loudly. Oh well, I guess I can be thankful I have a house to be disturbed in (-_-;;).
October 10th: Well, today was... Interesting. I went to art class, which was fairly uneventful. Before lunch I picked up my distance ed package- I got 95% on the first Unit! Yay! ::Happy dance:: (^_^/) When I got back to school, I was called down to the principal’s office in the middle of this video on Meso-America. I don’t think I missed anything... Actually, I’m curious why my attendance never makes sense. (o_Ô) You would think they’d want to spend time on the people who actually skip. Oh well, no biggie. I went shopping with my significant other too. (^_^) It was a lot of fun, too bad they had to leave for a lab.
October 11th: Art was quiet today, since everybody went down to the library to research- leaving me the class all to myself! (^_^) Yay! On my way back home, I saw a squirrel! It was so cute, and frozen in place... When I walked by. ::Coos:: Oh! I started reading The Great Gatsby! It’s not half as bad as people make it out to be. A little slow, but I’m not too far into it yet. (^_^) It’s for novel study; I got the next package.
October 13th: Well, happy birthday to my anime boys Vincent and Tomo! (^_^) Today I went to a house warming party. It was a lot of fun, and my friend’s apartment is very nice. We drove around a lot last night, so I was really tired when we got home around ten o’clock. After we watched the movie “Heart Breakers”. I thought it was really funny! (^_^) I recommend it to anybody who wants to see romantic comedy! Tomorrow I have to sign up for college stuffs. I’m not looking forward to that. ::Sigh:: (-_-)
October 15th: Well, looks like I don’t really have to sign up for anything with that college/university thing. I just show up. Hrm. I finished reading half of Gatsby. (^_^) It’s good! Yay! Hm, let’s see... I got caught in the rain today. I sucks, I had to dry my hair so it wouldn’t get puffy. I went back to history class, but half of it was taught by the student teacher. It was very confusing! He wouldn’t give definite answers. He would just say “Go with it!”, whenever we gave him options... That he was supposed to select from... Select only one from. (9_9) Oooh, and I have to tell my buddy Cherie to take care of herself! (!_!)
October 16th:I slept in today! (^_^¿) Way too late! When I woke up, I only had 15 minutes to get ready and go to history class. I nearly died on the way there choking on banana bread! But I got there... It wasn’t really worth it.
The student teacher was teaching, and he had an overhead... It was brutal. The text wasn’t segmented, so it was just like a block we had to copy. Then he insisted on talking above our concentrated writing, and elaborating while he spoke, so we had to copy, listen, and jot down the important points he made. (>_<) He eventually got frustrated and just started lecturing... Really fast... I think I was the only person getting really good notes! Since I don’t care how my writing looks! ::Few:: After that he made us do group work... But he didn’t tell us his plan at first. He just said to the first person in the row “Count”. The guy is like “One... Two...” Then the teacher says “Just one”, and points to the next person who says “Two?”. (o_Ô) I was saying WTF? to myself... What he was doing was dividing up the groups, so for six groups he would go down the rows with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 6... 1, 2, 3, 4... And all the threes would be one group, all the sixes would be another. (^_^) You get it! Needless to say, the group work was really stupid, and we had to present to the class, and everybody ran out of time, and it was so disorganized. Egad.
Well, I finished reading The Great Gatsby! I’m going to finish the last question after I type this entry too (^_^)! Ah, Lesson one of Unit II! Almost done! Wai!
October 17th: Woo! It snowed today. Everything is covered and... Cold. I went to history class again today (never miss it ^_~). We have to read the Declaration of Independence. (o_0) It’s really... Um... Wordy! Geez. This is a lot of work, though. I also have to make an Annotated Bibliography. This is going to take time. ::Urgh:: Ooh, I signed up for Live Journal today. I don’t see why everybody is so excited about it- I like this much better. (^_^) I think I’ll stick with it.
October 18th: Uneventful day... History class was all talk. It was so boring. Oh well, I spent the whole time joking around with Pat, so it was good. Art class was strange, we watched this psychotic movie about an impressionist painter who was an alcoholic. (o_Ô) Ooh, there was this bigass pine tree in my front yard and a huge maple, and they’re being cut down. I took pics to send to my friend Heath (who’s, incidentally, been missing since her boy went to see her. Come back Heath! Come baaaaaaack! >_<), who moved away. She used to be right across the road. Oh well, now I can spy on my new neighbors more easily. Hahah. Just kidding.
October 19th: Didn’t go to school again this morning, but history class was okay. We watched another video. It was the last day with the student teacher for another three weeks ::Few::. After school I went shopping. I bought books for novel study: three Jeanette Winterson books, and three Fitzgerald novels. I also got The Tale of Murasaki by Liza Dalby for fun. I’ll review them after I’ve read them. (^_^) I also bought the first book in the Harry Potter series, to see what’s going on. I post the fanfics here, but I must admit I haven’t yet read any of the books! (^_^¿) During shopping I also bought myself a pair of boots and several Vampire Princess Miyu/Yui books. ::Yay!:: There was a very strange guy at the mall, I think he was drunk, he was sinning old French songs at the top of his lungs, while sitting very still on a bench. I avoided him. (o_0)
Oh yes! The university information session yesterday was boring. The first session was presented by a very cute Chinese girl who was nervous, but hid it with zealousness. The other was by a man who seemed boring. He just read the book.
October 20th: I went to the Dark Room today, most of it was spent waiting though. It was nice to see my friends, even though they were a little high. (^_^¿) After we went home and went to bed. Very uneventful. I read a lot of the Harry Potter book, more than half. So far, I’m impressed. I thought it would be a lot more childish. Unfortunately, it lacks that trademark British vivid description, that tends to overflow most European books. On another note, I can see why people would ban it. Some of the chants are open to interpretation, and measurements (like wands) are very precise, that would lead somebody that hasn’t read the book to believe it was instructions. (9_9) Personally I don’t see what their issue is, though. So far I have to say my favorite characters are the Weasley twins. (^_^) They’re cute.
October 21st: I spend today taking care of my SO. (^_^) I did a bit of schoolwork, but nothing to cry about. As for sleeping, it was horrible. I didn’t get to sleep for so long, and I had a pounding headache.
October 22nd: I finally got my university stuff sorted out. All I have to do now is fill out the forms. (>_<) School was fairly boring, I did novel study during art. History was about the American Revolution again. (^_^) I spent the class harassing Pat with doodles that drive him crazy.
October 24th: A presenter from White Mountain Academy of Arts came to our art class today. I wasn’t really impressed with the lecture... The Academy doesn’t have cartooning, nor does it have animation. Not only that, but people have to take business as well as fine arts, in order to manage their person endeavors; like taxes and tabulations. It was all very... Not for me. Also, there was a huge emphasis on native arts. They’re all good, but I must say I’m not a strong fan of the style. The rest of my day was kind of uneventful. More of our trees were cut down, but these ones were dead. My SO took me out for ice-cream. Hmmm... I’m starting to get worried about my friend that moved away. She’s been missing for a long while. I think I may call soon.
October 25th: My friend is alive! Woo! (^_^) Today was funny. I studied the war of 1812. General Hull is my favorite character. (^_~)
October 26th: I actually went to class this morning (-_¬`) but my teacher wasn’t there. How disappointing! (^_~) Anyway, I met with the principal about the page again, I don’t even know what I’m going to do about this Power Point presentation. I’m not in the mood to type it all out and reformat it. Smeg. Anyway, went shopping for my birthday today. (^_^) Even though it’s not until the 30th, I got half my presents: three yaoi doujinshi for Digimon are on their way, and I bought the three last Harry Potter books. Yes, I’m hooked, and since she was so indignant, I give Heather credit. (^_^) Bookworm! Bookworm! Spite you! ::Ahem:: Anyway... I think I’ll put the “blame” part of that credit on MDS! Do you want to hear the tale? The tale of Veege and the custom title? Yes. Okay.
I was away from the bbs for quite some time, and upon my return was faced with a custom title saying... “Gryffindor”. Not knowing what it meant, I began to ask my ICQ contacts. Not a lot of people knew, but Heather let me in on the fact it was a “Harry Potter thing”. All well and good. A little after that I started receiving Harry Potter fics, which I read to overview, like I do to all my fics. I couldn’t help picking up a little about the plot, but I still only knew a few characters after that. Annoyed that I couldn’t post the fics for fear I’d put something illlegitimate on my site, I started to... Well, research in a sense. And so the interest was born! Now I’m the proud- well, more like slinking around- owner of the set.
October 29th: The party on Saturday was pretty good. It was somewhat of a nerd party though, in that nobody was drunk, nobody was high, and all we did was listen to U2 and converse... Oh, and we watched “The Exorcist”. I thought it was pretty funny- I had never seen it before. Sunday I spent reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I really liked it, Rowling actually strayed form that technical perfection of the “mystery” novel. But today... today sucked! Not only did half our history test get blown away by a lecture about masters degrees, but I was berated in front of the class by the teacher. I think I took it pretty well but... ::Sigh:: Totally wasn’t worth it. I mean- I do some extra work- not enough to be an über keener or anything... But this guy totally hates me for strange reasons (>_<). It hope he’s in good spirits tomorrow... It’s my birthday and all.
October 30th: Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me! I can legally buy porn... Happy birthday to me! Today was an awesome birthday. I went only a half-day, history went fine, got home, ate Chinese food and had my favorite cake (the only kind I like): Oatmeal! Unfortunately I still have a ton of work. I’m studying for History exam now. It was great because even though they were mad at me earlier, my SO came over with flowers and pie and a gift. I’m very happy! They’re so great!
October 31st: Went as a doctor to class! There were a lot of costumes, cool ones. I saw a little bo peep, a couple of other doctors, some devils, vampires, a country girl... “Where’s Waldo”, let’s see... Can’t think of much else. (^_^) When I came home I studied for a while, until dinner. I also heard the song “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden during my spare. I downloaded it, and I love it! (^_^) It’s my current song! Little trick-or-treaters starting coming to the house around 6:00PM. They were all pretty boring except this one kid who was dressed as an owl! Oh, and there was an old guy with a baby strapped to him- A real baby, and it was dressed as a reindeer. I was like (o_0) Um, sure your kid can have some candy... Even though he has no teeth and no doubt you’ll be eating it.
After that my SO and I went to the punk show. It started out with Dave playing sappy songs (-_-) snooooore. Near the end, Chupacabra finally played. They were awesome. I spent most of the show stalking a boy that looked like Harry Potter. (^_^) Haha! I lost interest when I had to let him out of a bathroom that locked him in, and heard his voice. It freaked me out. When we were leaving, my significant other said they hated the shows, and was just a glorified body-guard for me. I don’t think they really like me much anymore. I dunno if I’d be able to tell if somebody stayed with me just because of my looks or my abilities? I don’t think I could tell. Oh well, I still think they’re really great. They don’t really have any flaws. (.-_-.) I wish I were like that.
November 2nd: I’m done the test! The history test is finished! Thank anything and everything! My hand is paralyzed from writing so much... ::Falls asleep at the keyboard:: I’m just so glad that’s over. I spent all of yesterday studying (plus all those other days), so of course I didn’t write anything. ::Yawns:: ::Stretches:: I have so much to do for the weekend, though. For my distance ed. course I have to write an evaluation and response, as well as reading an entire novel and making notes on it. (-_-) Not to mention more college application stuff. The time has come to ask for reference letters from my teachers. Cross your fingers for me! (^_^) Hmmm... Nothing much else going on, other than it is insufferably windy! It’s like.
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................. Constantly. Thoroughly. (o_Ô) It could drive a person mad, I tell you! MAD!
Uahaha!!!
November 3rd: ::Laughing so hard:: ::Side splitting:: ::Rib breaking:: Okay, my neighbors, who I really don’t like because they have an ATV that they run at 9:00AM and children that are constantly yelling left a lawn mower idling in their driveway today. It was so loud and it was annoying both my father and me, who were trying to work. So he goes outside, and comes back saying “They’re not home!”
Me: “They left it running and they aren’t there?”
Father: “Nobody’s around.”
Me: “Just turn it off.”
Father: “He may be trying to work on it. I’ll leave it running.”
Me: “Shut it off!”
Father: “We’ll move it onto the grass. It’ll be less loud.”
Me: “Urgh.”
Father: ::Moves it::
Me: “Now it looks like we tried to steal it since it’s on our lawn.”
Father: ::Laughing:: “Let’s see how loud it is now.”
::We go back inside::
::After only a few seconds, it stops running::
Me: “It stopped!”
Father: “It must have run out of gas.”
Me: “Great, now it looks like we stole it AND broke it.”
Father: ::Goes back outside and puts it back where it was::
Me: “All you have to do is follow the mowed tracks on our grass.”
Hehehe!!!
November 7th: I got the history test back on Monday, 92% woo! I also finished Unit 2 of Novel Study today. Unfortunately I have to read Conrad’s Heart of Darkness. I have never read something so dry and boring! It was such a cool title too... Unfortunately my rattie is sick again. (.-_-.) Poor little guy. I’m going to try and update my site soon, I’m just so very busy with everything. Hmmm... Did I talk about the fact I finished reading the Prisoner of Azkaban? Yea. It was pretty good for the series... My favorite, since it had the largest % of Professor Snape! (^_^) Hee hee! Ooh, I did draw a picture of him. Hm, I think I’ll post that. Oooh! My friend is coming to visit on the 30th! I can’t wait! ::Jumps around with the happy dance:: Weee!!! Oh, I also got both professors to sign my reference letter ::few:: I’m a happy camper now! ::Grumbles:: I’d be ever happier if I didn’t have to read chapter II of that stupid book... Conrad my foot... Arg... ::Trails off into mumbles::
November 8th: ::Sings:: Happy birthday to Kormir! Happy birthday to Kormir! (^_^) Ooh, and I also hope Cherie has a good vacation from the ‘net. Today was pretty good. I went to art class and history class, both of which weren’t too eventful. We watched a movie in history. I’m definitely not going to school tomorrow, though, so I’m happy I get to stay up late and enjoy myself for once. It’s Remembrance Day tomorrow, and though I want to celebrate it, I have a spare first, which would cause a ton of confusion as for getting into the ceremony and signing in... And in the afternoon history is an independent study period. I went to one of them already, but it was too noisy to concentrate; I’ll get more work done just staying in the quietude of my home. I celebrated my SO’s birthday. It was a family-only party, but was still good.
November 9th: I can afford tuition! I CAN AFFORD TUITION! WooooOOooo!!! ::Gives everybody a great-big communal hug:: I can go to college! I’m free! FREE! ::Runs around in circles:: Bye bye, house. Bye bye, tree. Bye bye, stinking factory.
::Peels of lunatic laughter::
November 14th: Now it’s time for a big long post rant, since I haven’t in a while...
I’ve been really busy with school work; history independent study, novel study, and the school page... But aside from that I haven’t been feeling well. Don’t know what it is. On Friday I’m going to see Harry Potter. Yay! (^_^) We bought advanced tickets. I’m going with ma mamie! (^_^) Quality HP time. Yes...
On sad note, bye-bye Cherie from the board for a while. (.-_-.) I think she really did leave us this time. I don’t know if I can stand another topic not being sidetracked by wolves or ghosts... (^_~)
On a pathetic not I must enforce that the student teacher is again on my nerves! What is his major malfunction!? He assigns yet another independent study for no reason at all; maybe just to show up the actual professor... Not only that, but he insists we think “outside the box”. Right, I thought outside it all right, since my subject has NO information on it, so I had to take what I learned about industrialism and actually, with logic and slow arduous comparison relate it to the Amerindians. Do you know how long that took!? Forever! Good God, I don’t have TIME for this! Not only that, but he also assigns tons of reading! Now, I wouldn’t normally complain about that. Fine, reading is fine... But when the subjects NEVER EVER appear on our tests, well it makes me question the POINT of learning it, not to mention very little of it has anything at all to do with the subject layout of the course. I’m all for independent learning; but not when it cuts into time for other legitimate courses!
Damn it.
On a happy note (^_^) Happy! I’ve started my art project. Ah, I shall take digi-pics of it when I’m finished. It’s water color on canvas... And anime too. (^_^) I also finished applying for Film School and University. Now College is the only thing left. Good. Done. Riddance.
I’m moving away- far away, and I don’t quite know what I’m doing with myself for housing, since I was planning on having these two roomies, but they ended up leaving several months after me. I’ll have been in school for five months before they arrive. This sucks. I’ll have to pay the entire gosh-darned thing on my own. Fuck. Right. So what am I gonna do? My SO isn’t coming with me and the campus doesn’t have dorms. (>_<)
And the stalking rant. Stalking is like... illegal and so forth- but is it on the ‘net? As well?! Is that stalking?! Or just surfing?! HUH!? Is it?! ::Hyperventilates:: never mind. This won’t be a rant. It’ll be... A couple of sentence fragments.
November 15th: Wow, I actually have interesting stuff to talk about today. Last night our refrigerator started making funny noises. I was the first one to notice, but there was nothing we could do. ALSO last night, we had a 3.5 quake. I didn't feel it though, since I was sleeping. This morning we got a new 'fridge. It's very very tiny. (o_0) Smaller than our old fridge- and even that was considered small. Oh well, at least now it'll look like we have more food. Smaller space = more full. (^_~) Well, now we're trying to get the old fridge picked up, and it's impossible! Nobody will do it! It's so annoying. So I'm thinking:
a) Drop it in the woods behind my house
b) Give it to the salvation army
c) Wrap it up like a present and give it to somebody
d) Try and set it on fire
e) Throw it in the lake
f) Tell them it is already "freon free"
Aaaaand- I just noticed my counter reset again. Damnit. Anybody remember what it was at? Ahh, I'll just estimate.
Oh, and I had a dream about my father's dead. He was strangled to death by an insane patient.
I'll end on that note.
November 16th: Woo! Another exciting day. I started painting with watercolor in art today... At first the paint beaded and I didn’t think it would stick, but in the long run it’s a lot better on canvas than paper. It’s easier to control and doesn’t bleed. The lesson was cut short, though, since it was the Knight Scholar Awards. (^_^) Oh, of course everybody was talking about Harry Potter- My art teacher has actually read the series three times! I was very surprised.
At the ceremony, everything smelled like coffee... But other than that it was a fair procession. I won a scholar award and the fine arts proficiency award. Unfortunately this cut into my spare quite a bit, but I was still able to get home and rest before History.
History was a work period, and I ended up doing some work, but mostly talking to Scottie.
When I got home, I waited for my ride to come back and did some schoolwork. Finally, we went to Harry Potter. The movie was awesome, just- don’t compare it to the book if you go see it because it’s just the skeleton of the actual story. I’m not going to outline every single change since there were so many... As for things that disappointed me;
- They left out the pending “exam” problem
- Didn’t speak much of the studying problems
The way they found out about Flamel was through Hermione’s research, not through the cards. I was kind of annoyed at that. But the most irksome thing, was they left out the cool way in which the stone was guarded... You know, each teacher adding something to the onslaught? Well, there was McGonagal’s chess game, but they didn’t say it was her contribution... And the completely left out Sexy Snape’s potion + riddle test. (.-_-.) How sad... But it was worth seeing Snape in action. He’s just so cool... (^_^) Eh heh heh... There were many details that come into play later in the series that were completely left out; Peeves, Harry being moved out of the cupboard, Hedwig’s name (I don’t think they mentioned it at all)... They didn’t have Malfoy meet Harry in the robes shop either, which I thought was kind of strange to leave out. Oh, and it seems like they chose actors for the Slytherin Quidditch team as ugly as they come- no offense to the actors, but really... What was the point of making them hideous? Oh well... OH! Being a bit random here, but none of the kids get to play the flute to put Fluffy asleep, not only does Christmas feature only the invisibility cloak, but Harry doesn’t get a flute at all... Instead there’s an enchanted harp playing that keeps Fluffy asleep- for a while. Um, not much else to say. I liked the actors; but I pictured Ron a lot taller. I thought he was really ungainly, but his little actor was cute none the less- always eating. Really funny... (^_^) Hahah. It’s worth seeing just to laugh at this guy.
Right, be prepared for the forest scene, it is much much shorter than it should be. There’s no introduction to the multiple centaurs (the whole scene with Hagrid talking to them and the centaurs responding in riddles about the stars). The only one shown is the centaur that saves Harry. They initially split into two groups; Hermione, Ron and Hagrid... Harry, Fang and Draco. Neville isn’t there at all, since the whole Norbert-sub plot isn’t existent except for showing the dragon hatch. Draco accidentally sees, tells McGonagal, but the four get detention, and the dragon is sent away... No further ado and no involving Ron’s siblings.
As for the theater itself- empty. Well not completely, but not busy at all. I was one of the few actually dressed up (he heh, Slytherin scarf and robes. I know, I know... No comments). Anyway, when we left a bigger crowd was coming in and we heard some people complaining about tickets being sold out. (´o_0`)
I went to dinner after that, and came home... I might be going to a Scratching Post concert tomorrow. I hope so, I really like them. (^_^/)
November 20th: Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I’m really happy! Today, despite lack of sleep last night, was great. Watercolor is such a picky medium, but we’re getting on now. (^_~) In history class I got a special delivery. (o_Ô) I didn’t open it until the end of class, and found it was my distance ed. results for Unit II. I got 100%! Woo! I did my happy dance in class, though only my friends were paying attention (^_^). Uahaah! Oh, the Student Teacher attempted and failed at a Power Point presentation.
Very entertaining.
Well, not much else to tell other than I’m bogged down with work once more. I finished my history independent study, but now I have to start on the one for novel study. (-_-) Well, at least I’ll be finished, other than the IS, Unit III after I write a comedic story. (o_0;;) It has to be technically humorous too- none of my usual inane laughter inducing stories- so wish me luck.
November 22nd: Well, the past few days haven’t been eventful. More “fun” with the student teacher which end up in a huge workload and classes with no validated answers that are pretty much a “tête-à-tête” without the other side contributing. (>_<)
Today sucked. The morning went fine, I had my spare second so I decided, unwisely, I might add, to take a nap. (´-_-`) I slept five minutes into my next class, so I ran faster than I thought I ever could back to school and into the main office. I asked if I was late, and they told me they’d give me an entrance slip but I’d have detention as well. So I said “Forget itttttttttt!” and ran out toward the class. Luckily I wasn’t that late and the teachers... history... didn’t care. Weeee. Unfortunately I was all tired and dead for the rest of that class because I went from being sound asleep, to scared awake, to running for my life, to settled down in a period of three minutes. (-_-¿)
Anyway, after class my SO took me shopping at Value Village. I have an eye for really fashionable clothes in second hand stores, so I save a lot of money. I spent $40.00 on clothes that would have cost me close to $300.00 in regular stores... All together I had a bit more than half a dozen items. (^_^) Yay! Mmmm... After that we had some dinner and I went home to finish my history work. That’s about it... Nothing else really happened, unfortunately. There were supposed to be bible-sellers at our school but they didn’t show up. Hahah. I wonder why? Hm, might be the fact they would have been slaughtered.
November 27th: Well, I’ve neglected this journal for quite some time... Truth be told I’ve been reading until almost completely blind! (x_X) But my Novel Study Independent Project is well underway... Just have to write an essay about my three books and make an interview with one of the characters... Hmm... Today was grad-photo day. I was so nervous last night for no reason, I kept having those anxiety dreams were you’ve forgotten something important... (9_9) That’s so unlike me, too. Oh well... At least that’s over. History class wasn’t so bad today, but yesterday we had so much work assigned by the assistant Prof. URGH! I could have throttled him so badly... But anyway! We’re knee-deep in snow here, now. Too bad my winter boots only go up a little past my ankle. (o_0) Brrr!
Oh! The weirdest thing happened, I tried calling my SO today, but the ‘phone was so weird! It would ring a couple of times, then make strange noises... Like muffled dragging... Then it would hang up. After I called for the third time, the muffling went on forever, I just couldn’t get through. It’s so odd! I hope my SO wasn’t murdered between the time I spoke to them yesterday and today... (o_Ô) ... Or maybe they were deported! Har har har har! I’ll be eating that if they actually were.... Hrm.
December 3rd: Today was freaky! I went to art class, and the professor was very annoyed at everybody since we have a three-split class and nobody was working properly. So she took this one girl out in the hall to talk to her privately, when this shelf like... exploded. The teacher rushed back in and said somebody threw a boot at the shelf (the boot was on her desk, apparently. I didn’t see it there). But nobody saw the boot thrown, and it would have been sailing over a bunch of people’s heads to actually reach the glassware shelf and hit it and shatter it. I was working, and I looked up at the sound. There was glass everywhere. Needless to say class didn’t go too smoothly after that, since the teacher was convinced somebody did it (I didn’t see anybody get out of their seats, anyway), and kept saying we had to tell her or nobody would be dismissed. The rest of the day was uneventful and busy. I have an history test on Thursday. (¬_¬`) Work. Che.
December 4th: The weather is horrible! Fog! Every minute of every day! ::Cough cough dies:: I’m getting catarrh! I’m going to die or worse! (!_!) I’m too young and beautiful to go! (^_^¿) Hahah. Actually, today okay. I finished my watercolor in art and went to this college information session that was very boring. That’s about it... Other than walking everywhere without being able to see past my hand in the fog. (o_0;)
December 10th: Well, lots to tell since I’ve been thoroughly neglecting this journal. Last Friday, I went to school in the afternoon only to discover some guy being led away by two police into their cruiser. (o_0) I asked around and two things happened that day; the fire alarm was pulled and there was a fight during lunch. I really don’t think you can get arrested for either, since I also heard the fight broke up very quickly. Oh well...
This weekend wasn’t too eventful. I went Christmas shopping for my mother with my SO, since they’re the only other person with a car to drive me downtown. (^_^) It was a lot of fun, if not a little cold. Today I also went Christmas shopping for my dad and all my friends: my SO, Cherie, Heath, and Beck. I’m hoping Heath will get her skinny English butt down here for the break, but no promises, right? Ahh, I’m sending your gift by the mail, anyway! Hear that? •By•The•Mail•. (^_~)
Oh! I took that history test I’d been studying for on Thursday. I think it went pretty well, but I haven’t got it back yet. We’re now studying immigration and war-time nativism. (9_9) Fuuuun. In art I predict ::Whips out tarot cards:: I’ll be finished by the end of this week and start on my third piece! ::Does victory dance::
PS: No snow yet.
December 17th: I went to a party today! Lots of fun, even though I only knew two people there. (^_^) Not much to say other than that. Afterward my SO and I went back to the house and played Evil Zone. I bought them that game for their birthday. It is so funny! The translation is horrible, half the time it doesn’t make sense, and they don’t even try to fit flapper time... So the characters keep on mouthing after they’ve finished speaking in English. As for the play itself, it’s a fighting game, and it’s kind of Mortal Kombat-ish. Neat characters, though... Except for Midori... And AL! Hahah! If you’ve played the game, you know what I’m talking about. “‘Til then, I hope you’ll work on your femininity.” (^0^)
December 18th: I got to see my friend who moved away today. (^_^) I’m soooo happy! I returned glasses she left here, hee hee, and she gave me really cute key-chains as a Christmas present. I’ll have to take pictures when I have the digital camera again. I’m also nearly done my art piece. Only detail left to do. I think I’ll ask for an extra canvas so I can start my third project over the winter break.
December 19th: Didn’t go to school this morning because I wanted to rest up for the test. I finally went, and it wasn’t too bad. I think I majorly killed one question... But it was only worth two marks, so no big deal. I hope I do well. I got 93% on the last one. (o_Ô) Did I say that before? Oh well. It's freakishly warm here... Usually it's -32°C by now... But it's melting. Global warming has finally come North! I've been waiting. Oh yes, I also gave Beck her present. She liked it... It was this very disturbing salamander stapler that reminded me of her. (^_^/)
December 20th: Well, I finally finished my art piece today. I’m going to get the third canvas tomorrow. Nothing too eventful, except that we have our last history test before the exam on January ninth, the second day back from winter holidays! ::Groans:: That means I have to study during the break! ::Sobs:: Oh, I got 96% on the last test. Did I say that already? Oh well if I did. In history class today we listened to this really old Christmas music. It was freaky! Santa had this high pitched voice, and it was a really bad recording so you couldn’t really decipher a lot of what he said... Plus he had an Irish accent.
Santa: “Have ye been good little lads an’ lasses? Harrrrr harrrrr harrrr!”
After class I went to see Adrienne! She was back in town (Whoa, all these friends suddenly coming back. It’s Christmas! Woo). Um, we hung around, I was half an hour late because of my SO (^_~), then we watched Scary Movie II... After much badgering from me. It was such a funny movie. Oh my god... But you really have to be into old horror flicks to understand a lot of this one.
December 21st: Well, even though it’s the last day before the break and no classes were being taught, I went to school for three things today: drop of grad photos, get canvas, and clarify for the history test. After I did that, I left. It was good to be able to wish everybody Merry Christmas, anyway. The parking lot at the school was so icy. There was a woman driving down the ramp heading toward the highway, and she was honking all the way down because even though she was slamming on the breaks, the car kept going. She was okay, though. I’m just glad to be out of school. They kept playing festive music over the PA system... And there were these carolers from the math wing who sang us a modified “Rudolf the Rednose Reindeer” song, except the lyrics were changed to “Zero, the undefined integer”. Or something... Funny, but weird. (^_^) Well, I’m gonna go start my third art project (a picture of Vincent shooting... Done in marker). Wooo! Happy Holidays!
December 23rd: I forgot to mention I saw Lord of the Rings on Wednesday. I have to do my review! (^_^) Okay, as for their truth to the novels, I can’t really say since I haven’t read any. But Pat was there, and he said they were “true enough”, but not exactly. The novels ended before the movie. Which brings me to my first gripe about the movie, it ended very inconclusively. I know it’s supposed to be that way to make you want to read on/see the next movie, but it was just so... “The hero quests for this mystic place, he’s going, so close, getting there, you can just see it on the horizon, he’s made it! All this time, all this wait and-”
Credits roll.
Right, and the fight scenes were a little drawn out and shaky. It was kind of hard to tell who was getting beaten: the heroes or the antagonists. ::Shrugs:: Oh well. The characters were very cool, especially Legolas (Nobody’s surprised there, though ^_~). Frodo got a little annoying. He was just so... Inept! With everything! It’s just not that hard to use a sword. Point the sharp end at the bad guy and swing it around. (^_^;;)
Well, I also didn’t enjoy the movie because we were right in front of these really small children. What kind of idiot brings eight-year-olds to Lord of the Rings?! They talked all the way through it. By the end, I turned around and told them to shut their mouths. They listened. Thankfully.
Speaking of annoying children, the neighbors I’m constantly complaining about have a new thing to do during the holidays; honk their car horns. (e_e) It started at 8:30AM today, they were beeping their car horn. I mean- what the fuck?! GET OUT OF YOUR CAR, and WALK to the DOOR! ::Fumes:: It’s not so hard to use a doorbell! It’s not some sort of intellectual feat! ::Stews::
Okay, now that I’m calm... er... Happy Holidays! (`^_^´) Yesterday me and my SO put up their tree. Their whole family is home for the holidays, so it was a pretty cool thing, even though they’re picky about how the tree looks. At my house we kind of just slap it together- the main goal being to have a good time. Oh well. Today we went shopping since my SO hadn’t done any at all. I helped them pick gifts and I wrapped them all while my SO complained about how I did it and how much Christmas sucks. I thought I was a Scrooge about this time of year. It appears I’ve been outdone.
Tomorrow, Christmas Eve, my family and I are going to be watching Scary Movie II again (after I get back from dinner at my SO’s). I’m kind of excited to see what I got, but more so to see how everybody likes what I got them (^_^). I’m especially anxious about my SO’s gift, since it’s not really something they’ll expect, and usually they hate the gifts I get them. They complain that it’s either not useful, or kind of stupid... Or they’ll never use it. ::Sighs:: Or they just don’t say anything. I wonder if not saying anything is like being pleased... Hmmm... I think that’s all I’ve got to say- oh, I saw Pat at the mall playing Christmas music with Andrew. It was really good. (^_^) Too bad I couldn’t stick around and throw change at them. Hee hee!
December 24th: Dinner with my SO was okay, their family is really nice. We had shrimp and lobster... And my SO had about two pounds of crab legs. (o_0;) Strapping on the feed bag, for sure. Anyway, after that I retired to my house with my SO for a while, played Nintendo, and then watched Scary Movie II again. It was funny the second time around, and my parents liked it too. I spent most of the day getting ready for dinner, so there’s not much to tell.
December 25th: Woo! I got a digital camera for Christmas! Wooo!!! It is so cool! I also got this artists set in a nice wooden box that has acrylics, oils, pastels, brushes, a pallet- everything! Very nice. For the nerd factor (hee hee), I got Core Web Programming, which is nice for reference, DNS and Bind, and Beginner’s Networking (Thank God! I’m so happy! Woo!). I also got some very nice spiritual books (no laughing, I’m adding to my collection ^_~); Spirit Maps, Chinese Astrology, Reading Tea Leaves, and Chinese Herbs (it’s the fourth book in my herbology series). So I’m all set. (^_^) Lemme see... I also got a ton of very nice jewelry and... I can’t remember... Hm... I’m going half-and-half for the whole Earthian series with my mom since she bought me manga for Christmas that I already had (^_^¿). Oh! And she got the Harry Potter CD. (^_^) It’s very nice music. I like it a lot... My favorite songs are The Invisibility Cloak and Fluffy’s Harp.
December 26th: I watched the anime Black Jack with my SO today. It was very Hojocentric! It was about this doctor, who could perform surgery that others couldn’t, and when this “super race” of people start getting sick and dying at very quick rates, he has to do surgery to remove this alien growth from their brains! ::Cough::Jenova::Cough::! Anyway, the animation was fairly ugly, and aside from the Hojocentricness of the plot, it was boring. There was also this little girl who was extremely annoying and was drawn in old-time Disney style animation! It didn’t fit with the rest of the anime... I think they added her as an afterthought.
December 28th: I went shopping with my mom today to return a camera case that was too small... On our way to Office Depot, we got lost and ended up driving half way to the next prefecture. (e_e) Not too much happened today that was exciting. I finished my art piece, and I’ve been studying for history. ::Yawns::
December 29th: Shopping again! This time with my SO! It was very nice, and I bought them lunch at this Chinese restaurant we go to so we can ogle the cute Chinese lady there. But I think her husband is on to us- he glares at my SO all the time... I keep joking, saying the next time, that guy will poison the chicken balls ordered by my SO. (^_~) Hahah- Wait. I hope not. (o_Ô)
December 30th: Well, again, studying today... And also showering. I can’t remember the last time I washed, and that’s a bad thing. ::Smells shirt:: Not too bad. (^_^) AHAHA! I’m becoming such an otaku. Anyway- What’s up with the OT board? It’s all... Spangle... And eye-hurting... And clashing. I guess Giantspace exploded and everybody in its wake was horribly burned. Aww. Oooh, and I have to send good wishes to poor Cherie-Pie, who’s suffering from Chicken Pox! Get well soon! ::Sends good vibes::
